The young singer and her family moved to Rockwall, Texas when she was 9 years old. She introduced herself to her new town with a microphone, magnetic charm and a voice that captured the hearts of this Texas town. Musical talent was truly in her DNA. She often shared the stage with her father and her grandfather (a.k.a. "Paw Paw"), a long-time musician himself. As she matured, her confidence grew and and she began entertaining her peers at school and church.
Amber spent the next few years singing at a variety of venues. In 2012, she took first prize in the "Rockwall’s Got Talent" competition. She was also invited to Los Angeles to sing with Katharine McPhee and Kenny G. While there, she was accompanied by music producer/performer David Foster.
Between her music, many friends, and a town she came to call her own, Amber enjoyed her teen years and graduated from Rockwall High School in 2011. Only a few months later, breast cancer took the life of Amber’s mother, Shonda Gaylord. The tragic loss of her mother quieted Amber's voice for a while, but eventually she began honoring her mother's life by singing again. Amber propelled forward with renewed energy that was indeed heaven sent and Nashville bound!
Determined and confident in her ability to show the world what was inside her, Amber made it to The Voice, where she performed songs from a range of artists, including Carrie Underwood, Rihanna, Patsy Cline and Maroon 5. While on the show, Amber got the chance to sing alongside Lady Antebellum as well as her coach, Maroon 5's Adam Levine.
Amber is currently living in Nashville and has had the opportunity to perform with some of Music City's greatest musicicans, including Vince Gill & The Time Jumpers. She has also been writing with many of Nashville’s finest writers, including Nathan Chapman & Heather Morgan.
