The Nashville Celts
Artist Information
When Irish and Scottish immigrants made the crossing to America they brought with them their own brand of musical spirit and song. As they migrated westward and generations passed their sounds, instrumentations and spirit would evolve into the musical styles we can trace back to the formative beginnings music of Appalachia, the Ozarks, bluegrass, folk and what would eventually become known as American country music.
The Nashville Celts ‘Celtic-size’ great American country classics as well as their own compositions with unique sound and traditional Celtic instrumentation (Irish uilleann pipes, Irish whistles, drums and the ancient bodhran) and American fiddles, mandolin, banjo, and string bass. It’s said that what country and Celtic music have in common is "authenticity and the spirit of the working man."
